I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
